Shillong, June 17: Sohra has created yet another record on Friday by registering third highest 24-hour-rainfall in June.
Sohra(Cherrapunjee) recorded 972.0 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours(0830 IST of June 16 to 0830 IST of June 17), the Upper Shillong IMD informed.

In Sohra, the highest ever record of one-day rainfall is 1563.3 mm on June 16,1995 and second highest is 973.8 mm on June 5, 1956.
On June 15 , Sohra had recorded 7th highest 24-hour rainfall of 811.6 mm.
