James Lyngdoh, one more resign from Cong

Shillong, Dec 1: Working president of MPCC, James Lyngdoh quit the post on Wednesday.

He also resigned from the party after serving for 33 years.

He is yet to join any political party by saying that all options are open.

He announced the decision at a press conference at Shillong Press Club.

Lyngdoh was part of the newly constituted MPCC team led by Vincent Pala as president.

Earlier, another working president, Marthon Sangma MLA had joined TMC.

General secretary of Congress Dr Manash Das Gupta also quit the post after serving the party for 36 years .

In the resignation letter, he did not cite any reason but party sources said since he was also removed from the post of general secretary, he did not want to continue.
