Shillong. June 8: The returning officer Malthus Sangma received only the nomination of NPP candidate James Sangma for the Rajya Sabha seat, and hence he will be declared elected uncontested on June 11.
The filing of nomination was till 3 pm on Monday (June 8)

“He will be declared elected uncontested on 11th June at 3 pm”, an official said on Monday.
The scrutiny of nominations will be held on Tuesday (June 9) and the last date for withdrawal is on June 11.
The election was scheduled on June 18 in case of a contest.
