Shillong. Jan 8: A truck driver identified as Surinder Singh from Jammu and Kashmir was killed when his truck rammed into a building in East Jaintia Hills on Thursday.

According to police, the accident occurred near a petrol pump at Khliehriat when the loaded truck (JKO2AT6315) rammed into a roadside building.
Due to the impact, the driver was stuck inside the truck cabin.
After several attempts, the injured driver was pulled out of the cabin and shifted to Khliehriat Community Health Centre for medical assistance.
However, the attending medical officer declared him as brought dead, and the body was kept at Khliehriat Civil Hospital morgue
