Shillong,July 22: KHNAM MLA Adelbert Nongrum has joined the Voice of People Party (VPP) headed by Ardent Basaiawmoit as the former wanted to pursue a change in state reservation policy.
Nongrum said a meeting was held on Thursday with the VPP and a decision was taken to join the party.

“I have accepted to join the VPP due to the conditions put forward by me, including the need to revisit the state reservation policy”, Adelbert said.
