The commission headed by retired Chief Justice T Vaiphei said that the next hearing will be held on April 8.

According to Vaiphei, in the next hearing, the investigation officer of Khliehriat police station will be examined as he was the one who seized the weapons, laptops and mobile phones from the residence of Thangkhiew.

‘We can’t  decide anything on documents as evidence is most important hence we are examining the witnesses”, he said.

Earlier on February 25, the government had extended the tenure of the commission for three months.

“We want to wrap up the investigation within the stipulated time”, Vaiphei said.
