Shillong, Oct 12: Justice (retired) BP Katakey who was appointed by the High Court of Meghalaya on coal related issues, on Wednesday asked the state government to reassess the already extracted coal.
Katakey held a meeting with the officials regarding the assessment of coal and the revised comprehensive plan for transportation and auction of coal.

Though the stand of the government is that there was 32 lakh metric tonnes of coal out of which the auctioned quantity was over 1 lakh metric tonnes , Katakey did not belive that the same quantity will be available and hence wanted a reassessment.
He also wanted the revised plan for transportation to be notified by the government.
