Shillong, June 12: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has approved the rules for the implementation of the Land Act.
“We have approved today the rules of the Land Act, which has already got the assent of the Governor,” KHADC chief Titosstarwell Chyne told reporters after chairing the EC meeting.

The EC accepted the recommendations made by the sub-committee led by Lamphrang Blah on how to strengthen the land department.
The committee had also recommended the need to maintain the land records through digitisation as per new technology, he said.
