Shillong, Dec 27: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) has criticised the MDA government’s adamant attitude towards its demand to do away with the personal interview in the government’s job recruitment.
“The decision of the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and the coalition partners of the MDA government to keep silence on the demand of the party to do away with the personal interview only shows that they are not serious in resolving the unemployment issue,” KHNAM state youth wing president Thomas Passah said in a statement.
He said that the party had already written to the state government to do away with the personal interview in order to eliminate corruptioin in the government’s job recruitment especially for the posts under group B, C and D as done in other states in the country.
“However, it is sad and unfortunate that the state government and the MLAs have turned a deaf ear to this issue,” Passah said.
The KHNAM leader said that the party is preparing to take other course of action to ensure transparency in the job recruitment process.
