Shillong, June 21: Residents were evacuated from a building following a landslide near hotel Heiga, Dhankheti, on Wednesday night.

According to an official with the disaster management authority, the Public Works Department personnel are clearing the road. “Residents of the building have been evacuated. MeECL has disconnected power supply. MUDA and PWD have been instructed to conduct safety assessment”, the official added. The incident took place around 9.55 pm.
