
Shillong, Nov 4: Some North East political leaders, including Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and TIPRA Motha Party leader Pradyot Bikram Manikya, have decided to form a committee to explore the formation of a political party from the region.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi on Tuesday, the leaders said first of all, a nine-member committee was formed as part of setting up a platform to fight for the cause of the people of the North East.

Besides Conrad and Pradyot, NPP leader James Sangma, Mmhonlumo Kikon, Former BJP National Spokesperson & Minister in the Government of Nagaland, Daniel Langthasa, Founder, People’s Party, Assam, among others, were present.
