Shillong, April 1: The accused in the molestation case in Malki has been forwarded to judicial custody.
He was arrested under POCSO Act.

According to the police, on March 29, one tile laying labourer (20) from Barpeta, Assam was apprehended by the residents of Malki for sexually assaulting one woman and two minor girls at Lumbalang, Malki and was beaten by them. He received minor injury.
The accused person was brought to Laitumkhrah police station and a case was registered under sections 354 IPC r/w 7/8 POCSO Act. “The accused person has been arrested and forwarded to judicial custody for further investigation’, the police said.
