Shillong, May 13: The miscreants, who threw a petrol bomb at Karbi Bhawan (in picture) on May 11, were masked.
Police are on the job to get more details of the goons.
The action of the miscreants was following a stand off between the Khasis and Karbis in Khanduli, West Jaintia Hills.
According to the police, on May 11 around 8.15 pm, five to six Khasi youths went to Karbi Bhawan which is under construction at Pine mount ridge area, Laban.
Police said on entering the building, the miscreants asked from the private security on duty whether he was a Khasi to which he replied yes and then they told him to move out.
Before leaving, they lit a bottle filled with petrol and threw it on the floor. However there was no injury to any person but only minimal damage to floor tiles.
