Shillong, May 4: Medica Hospitals Kolkata on Saturday created awareness to prevent cancer.
The team of Medica Cancer Hospital addressed a press conference here on early detection and treatment of the cancer.
In his online message, Dr Saumitra Bharadwaj, Group President, said Medica Superspeciality Hospital was launched in 2010 and in 2023 Medica Cancer Hospital ensured advanced radiation therapies.
Dr. Arindam Mondal, surgical oncologist and Dr Sayan Das, radiation oncologist of the Hospital offered to collaborate with the Meghalaya government as per the request of Dr Anisha Mawlong, HoD radiation oncologist, Shillong Civil Hospital.
Mawlong said mass screening is the need of the hour considering the rise in number of the cases.
According to Mawlong, large scale detection of cancer was reported whenever screening was done.
