Shillong, August 13: 60 pregnant women tested positive for HIV from April to June this year.
The Meghalaya AIDS Control Society (MACS) has issued updated and verified information on the Intensified IEC Campaign 3.0, following its state-wide launch on August 12, from.April to June.

There are 9,244 People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in Meghalaya, as per the HIV Estimation Report 2025.
The inititive of the Society included holding 1,026 village-level meetings, 3,000 awareness sessions in schools, 85 awareness sessions in colleges and 30 folk performances and 30 flash mobs.
15,000 households were covered through door-to-door awareness activities.
12 special camps in government hospitals and 10 pop-up awareness booths across Meghalaya were also held.
