Meghalaya wins 2 gold, 7 silver at Natl Canoe Slalom C’ships
Shillong, Jan 16: Meghalaya has won nine medals, including two gold, at the National Canoe Slalom Championships 2026, held in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh. This remarkable performance placed Meghalaya as the overall state runner-up at the championship.
The home team has won two gold and 7 silver.
“Heartiest congratulations to Manbhalang Kharkrang for winning gold, and to Riyanka Nongsiej, Elizabeth Vincent, Vikash Rana, Purnima Rana and Indra Sharma for securing silver medals. Special congratulations and best wishes to Manbhalang Kharkrang, Elizabeth Vincent, and Vikash Rana on their selection for the Asian Games coaching camp team,” Chief Minister Conrad Sangma wrote on X.
“The Meghalaya Slalom Team continues to do the state proud. Wishing them continued success and excellence ahead,” he added.
