Shillong, Jan 1: More ‘bravehearts’ participated in the midnight swim organised by Forever Young of Michael Syiem, on December 31 night to welcome the New Year.

“There were 34 participants, the highest so far and 5 lady swimmers”, Syiem said.
Without breaking the tradition, Vicky Chaudhary, who used to participate from the beginning of the initiative felt happy over the manner in which the swimmers welcomed the New Year.
8 tonnes of ice blocks were put inside the Crinoline Swimming Pool to mark the 27th Midnight Swim.
