Miss Universe Meghalaya & Miss Teen Meghalaya 2026 audition from March

Shillong, Feb 14: The next edition of Miss Universe Meghalaya 2026 and Miss Teen Meghalaya 2026 will be held shortly..

The announcement was made by State Director Brian N. Wallang, joined by Pageant Coordinator Shrawan Pradhan, Pageant Coach Laila Kharkongor, Event Manager Liam Dkharphanbuh, Jaintia Hills District Coordinator Teibor Lang Hinge, Garo Hills District Coordinator Nency Sangma, and reigning Miss Teen Meghalaya Fortunate Mika Dkhar.

At a press conference, the team also expressed appreciation to supporting partner Loomkyntoor and  Tei for their early support of the initiative.

State Director Brian N. Wallang shared the vision of building a professional and empowering platform that prepares contestants for both state and national stages. He emphasized that modern pageantry focuses on confidence, leadership, voice, and purpose rather than beauty alone and encouraged participation from young women across Meghalaya.

“We are not just selecting winners — we are building ambassadors for Meghalaya,” he said.

The competition will include a structured grooming period beginning in mid-April 2026, followed by pre-events leading to the Grand Finale on May 1, 2026. The winners of both categories will represent the state at Miss Universe India in Jaipur.

The pageant coordinator announced that walk-in registrations will begin from 8:00 AM at all audition venues. Audition dates are as follows:

7 March – Tura  

• 10 March – Jowai  

• 14 March – Shillong

Eligibility categories:  

• Miss Universe Meghalaya: 18 years and above

• Miss Teen Meghalaya: 13–19 years

Participants from all districts of Meghalaya are invited to apply.

Audition Dress Code:

Round 1: White tank top (broad straps) and blue denim shorts

Round 2: Short black bodycon dress

Pageant Coach Laila Kharkongor stated that contestants will undergo professional grooming in ramp walk, communication and interview skills, styling, personality development, and confidence building. She added that beginners are welcome and the program focuses on holistic development rather than only outer appearance. Parents were also reassured that the Miss Teen Meghalaya category will be conducted in a safe and professionally supervised environment.
