A major highlight for this round is the strong representation from Meghalaya, with four talented riders—Meban Suiam, Paominthang Vaiphei, Elbis L. Lyngkhoi, and Skhemborlang Dkhar— successfully qualifying and earning valuable championship points in Round 1. Their performances have secured them a place in the upcoming round, marking a significant achievement for motorsports in the state.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Phoebe Dale Nongrum, the President Meghalaya Motorsport, said these riders have demonstrated exceptional dedication, discipline, and perseverance in their journey to the national stage. Their qualification is not only a testament to their individual skill and determination but also reflects the growing strength of grassroots motorsports development in Meghalaya.

Notably, Elbis L. Lyngkhoi, Meban Suiam, and Skhemborlang Dkhar have been training under the guidance of three-time national champion Banteilang Jyrwa. His mentorship and experience have played a crucial role in shaping these riders into competitive athletes capable of performing at the highest level.

As Round 2 approaches, all eyes will be on the Meghalaya contingent as they aim to build on their momentum and further establish their presence in the championship standings.

With increasing competition and rising stakes, the upcoming race in Goa is expected to deliver exhilarating performances and unforgettable moments.

The MRF MoGrip Supercross Championship continues to be a premier platform for showcasing India’s top motocross talent, and the participation of emerging riders from regions like Meghalaya underscores the sport’s expanding footprint across the country.
