Williamnagar, July 11: The office of the District Sericulture Officer, East Garo Hills, organised a one-day Muga Awareness Programme for muga cultivators here on July 9.
Deputy Commissioner RP Marak highlighted the benefits of muga farming and urged farmers to increase production. District Sericulture Officer Sanre G Momin highlighted the importance of muga rearing and how it can help boost income.
