Shillong, May 17:The one-man judicial inquiry commission probing the Mukroh incident, has postponed the hearing to May 25.
The commission headed by Justice (Retd)T Vaiphei was supposed to hold the hearing on May 16.

Earlier on May 5 too, hearing did not take place as Vaiphei was on bereavement.
The commission said in the order on May 15 that the secretary of the commission had personally called up the counsels for Assam, Meghalaya and the Mukroh villagers as to whether they will be available for taking evidence on May 16 but they expressed their inability.
Hence, the commission fixed May 25 for taking evidence. Depending on the number of witnesses, the hearing will continue on May 26 and 27.
