Mukroh panel annoyed over lack of response from relatives, NGOs

Shillong, Jan 31: The one-man judicial inquiry commission headed by Justice ( retd) T Vaiphei expressed unhappiness over lack of response from the locals, NGOs, families and the injured as they have not filed their statements on the firing incident which had claimed the lives of five West Jaintia Hills residents.

The Principal Chief Conservator of Forest , Assam has filed his statement.

The next hearing will be on  February 3.

Earlier Assam police and Meghalaya DGP had filed their statements.

Extension for two more months 

The commission got extension of two more months after it was instituted for two months since November 23.

The extension is from January 24.
