downplayed the rift between Saleng A Sangma and Mukul
“Politics is dynamic, there is no permanent friend, no permanent enemy,” Pala said.
According to Pala, the Congress party is open to welcoming everyone, including Mukul Sangma, if he decides to return.
While acknowledging Mukul’s seniority and experience in politics, he said that the TMC leader had repeatedly stated he won’t rejoin the Congress.
No talks with dropped ministers
Pala said the party has not approached the dropped ministers.
“We do not have any such talks, but we welcome everybody. I have no enemy compared to the rest of them,” he said
Some leaders are waiting to see the Congress’s performance in Garo Hills before making a move, he said.
“It depends on our performance in Garo Hills and it depends on our preparation for the organization… Nobody will join us if we are weak, but if we are strong, people will be ready to top up and ready to join us.”
