Shillong, May 19: Opposition Leader Mukul Sangma has inspected the site of a football stadium at Ampati, South West Garo Hills and decided to seek the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi since the latter had laid the foundation stone in 2016.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Mukul said the project was to help the state to excel in sports related activities but the delay and low quality works are concerns.

Mukul said he is concerned because the project and the related components are yet to become a reality.
‘Why I am going to take up the matter with PM is because it is a centrally funded project”,Mukul added.
