Shillong, June 12: A Navy team as reached East Jaintia Hills to carry out search and rescue operations for the five trapped miners at Krem Ule mine.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma had written to the Centre to rush in navy divers to complete the rescue operations.

Earlier in the day, the relatives of one of the trapped miners identified as Abdul Kalam met the depuy commissioner E Kharmalki at the accident site .
As the water level has risen to 8 feet due to rain , this has delayed search operations.
