Shillong, Dec 20: Members of the North East Olympic Association (NEOA) attended a meeting in New Delhi to discuss the development and promotion of sports in the North East and hosting of the 2nd Edition of the NE Olympic Games in Meghalaya.
John Kharshiing, working president of Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA), told the members that details of the plan will be informed to all NE Members in the coming new year 2022.
He added that the state government has extended “full support” to the NE Games as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of Meghalaya’s statehood.
NEOA was also briefed on the suggestion from Lakhya Konwar, general secretary of Assam Olympic Association, for hosting the NE Olympic Youth Games and details will be communicated next year.
