Shillong, Aug 25: The All NEHU Workers’ Union (ANWU) on Thursday called off its silent protest after the vice chancellor assured them on payment of salary.
In a statement, the union said the VC said “ he will explore all the possibility of how to adjust the period of absence in the next two or three months in a very positive way in the meeting held on 17th August”.

The union’s demands include regularisation, equal pay for equal work, overtime allowance etc.
