”No cabinet berth sharing among UDP MLAs’

Shillong,,June 30: UDP leader and cabinet minister Kyrmen Shylla said there is no cabinet berth sharing agreement among the 12 legislators.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Shylla said the party can take a call if it feels the need to change ministers from the UDP.
“Since we have no such agreement the party can take a call anytime. We need not wait for two and a half years or we need not take a call even after two and a half years also. The party has the right to take a call anytime they feel it is needed,” he said.
Shylla said he is ready to step down as minister if told to do so by the party.
“Still if the party feels they need to accommodate someone else, happily we will give it away. We are like brothers; we don’t fight with each other. We can never become enemies in the family that will never happen in our party”, he added.

“In our last meeting, we have given authority to the president to take a call and fill up this vacancy as early as possible,” Shylla said.
