Shillong, March 6: Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary Manuel Badwar said on Friday that the party is yet to decide on the candidate to contest the Lok Sabha bypoll.
Speaking to reporters about his name doing the rounds, Badwar said, “This is not the time to decide on the bypoll as the sitting MP passed away only recently”.

According to Badwar, since only two and a half years away, for the tenure of Lok Sabha to end, a newcomer will have difficulty in familiarising with the Parliamentary system
He said only a well-versed person would be able to take up the issues like ILP and Khasi language recognition.
