
Shillong, March 10: The Deputy Chief Minister holding the Home and District Councils Affairs portfolios, Prestone Tynsong said on Tuesday that the government does not have any plan to postpone the GHADC polls.
Speaking on the phone on Tuesday, Tynsong said the situation does not warrant deferring polls.

“We have rushed in additional forces to ensure law and order”, Tynsong said.
The deputy chief minister, who arrived in Shillong on Tuesday evening, said there was a meeting via video conference with the Chief Minister and the officials.
“We have assessed the situation, we need to ensure law and order, and more forces will be sent”, he said.
