Shillong, May 2: A Nongstoin resident was arrested with heroin in the city on Monday, police said.
The 30-year-old Vishal Kupar Marngar of Nongstoin Mawkawah West Khasi hills presently residing at Garo Bazar Polo, was stopped by the patrolling party of Pasteur Beat House on suspicion of peddling drugs.

The police approached him and searched his body following which 17 vials containing heroin and cash Rs 480 were found from his possession.
Anti Narcotics Task Force team reached Pasteur Beat House and conducted legal formalities as per the provisions of the NDPS Act.
