Nongthymmai MDC Latiplang Kharkongor passes away

Shillong, Sept 12: Nongthymmai MDC of KHADC  Latiplang Kharkongor passed away on Thursday evening at Shillong Civil Hospital.

KHADC Chief Executive Member Pyniaid Syiem condoled the death of the four-time MDC and said he passed away following illness after he was admitted in Civil Hospital recently.

Kharkongor had extended support to the NPP-led Executive Committee for the last one year.

“We will be working only half day tomorrow as a mark of respect to the departed soul”, Syiem said.

Kharkongor was first elected as MDC in 2004 and continued to represent his Nongthymmai constituency till his death.
