NPP MLAs left party as they were denied tickets: Tynsong
Shillong, Dec 14: The two MLAs, Benedic Marak and Ferlin Sangma resigned only because they knew they would not get the tickets so they had to run, said Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, he said only three NPP MLAs will not get tickets out of which two have resigned.

Besides Benedic and Ferlin, Esmatur Mominin ( Phulbari) was also denied ticket by the NPP as former Assembly Speaker AT Mondal will contest from the party.
To a question on the claims made by the BJP that more NPP MLAs are likely to join its fold, Tynsong said, “I don’t know that. You ask from the BJP.”
