Shillong, Sept 17: The ministers from the NPP and UDP got major departments as per the list of portfolios released on Wednesday.
While Chief Minister Conrad Sangma retained majority of portfolios, there has been no change in the portfolios of his two deputies Prestone Tynsong and Sniawbhalang Dhar.
Tynsong has retained portfolios of home (police), public works department (roads & buildings), district council affairs (DCA) and parliamentary affairs.
Dhar will continue to hold urban affairs department, transport department, commerce & industries department and department of prisons and correctional services.
Another NPP minister Marcuise N Marak, was allotted soil & water conservation department as an additional portfolio.
He will continue to hold charge of public health engineering (PHE) and housing departments.
Timothy D Shira was given tourism, agriculture and fisheries departments, while Brening A Sangma got border area development department, excise & home (civil defence and home guards) department.
Sosthenes Sohtun has been given community & rural development department (C&RD), secretariat administration department (SAD) and general administration department (GAD) while Wailadmiki Shylla will be in charge of Health & Family Welfare department, Sports & Youth Affairs and Home (Passport) department.
Other parties
UDP president Metbah Lyngdoh will hold power, water resource , taxation, and textiles departments while another party leader Lahkmen Rymbui will be in-charge of education department, revenue and disaster management department, information and public relations department & law department.
Sanbor Shullai (BJP) got Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Arts & Culture , Printing and Stationery and Legal Metrology departments.
The lone HSPDP member, Methodius Dkhar ( HSPDP) will hold Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs department, Labour Employment & Skill department, Registration & Stamps department and Cooperation department.
