Shillong, July 18: Police arrested a person for possesimg drugs.
In a statement, the police said after receiving inflormarion from police official Arki Wahlang that there was a suspected abandoned bag at Polo Bazaar near Matri mandir, so accordingly a bomb squad was called for checking and on checking suspected contraband was detected so accordingly the information was passed on to state ANTF.
However, on searching his bag, 5 packets covered with cargo tape and 02 packets covered with poster were found. The same was then tested which gave a positive result for Cannabis and weight of the contraband amounted to 5kg and 629grams. In this case accused has been detained and NDPS case is being registered.
