Shillong, July 11: Police made an arrest in connection with the brutal murder of four persons whose bodies were found with multiple injuries in Umpleng, East Jaintia Hills on July 6.
Police said on Thursday that a case was registered vide Khliehriat PS case no. 49(07)2024 u/s 103/3(5) BNS, and during the course of investigation, one person was arrested. The details of the arrested person are not being disclosed in the interest of investigation, the police said.

Investigation is ongoing to trace and to arrest other persons involved in the case, the police added.
