
Shillong, March 12: One person was injured after the police fired rubber bullets on March 11.
The incident occurred when the police tried to disperse the crowd protesting against the participation of non-tribals in the GHADC elections.

According to the police, the victim is under treatment.
Agency reports had also said that BSF vehicles were torched by the miscreants.
The mob fury saw many cases of arson and looting.
Major incidents include vandalising two liquor shops, torching the NPP office, a clinic, and a commercial building, among others
The curfew was relaxed on March 12 for a few hours, and it will be further relaxed on March 13.
