Shillong, April 15: The NPP Rajya Sabha member WR Kharlukhi criticised the VPP for demanding inquiry into alleged anomalies in conducting JHADC polls while forgetting that the VPP members had attacked the house of NPP supporter.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Kharlukhi said it is amusing to see that the VPP is forgetting about the attack on the house of NPP supporter while demanding independent inquiry into why they lost in JHADC polls.
“Like our Jowai MLA said when they (VPP) lose in elections, it is unfair but when they win it is okay, only thing, I will tell them they alleged that they lost because of muscle power..I still have the video of what happened after elections in which the house of our supporter was attacked, they pelted stones and I did not see these people who love the Jaidbynriew because these people who faced attack were also Khasi-Jaintia people so I did not see any condemnation from their leader who really loves Jaidbynriew , they say about muscle power but this is nothing but goondaism which means they are against muscle power but in favour of goondaism”, Kharlukhi said.
