Shillong, March 27: More than 30 persons were arrested following the violence in Garo Hills.
A police official said the family members of the arrested persons were informed about their arrests.

The accused are lodged in various jails in the state.
Amid the arrests, an FIR against activist Jaynie Sangma was filed by another social activist Greneth Sangma.
The FIR was filed against Jaynie for leaking confidential information.
