Over 5 k children in state test positive, 17 die

Shillong, June 16: As many as seventeen children died of Covid till date out of  5101 positive cases among children in the state.

Health Minister AL Hek told reporters on Wednesday that the number of deaths among children aged 1 to 14 is 17. Till date, 758 persons died of Covid.

In this context, Hek said the government is planning to set up pediatric hospitals at Ganesh Das hospital, Tura  and  Jowai and prefab structures will be set for this.
