Shillong, Jan 5: After the news of sudden passing away of musician Neil Nongkynrih trickled in on Wednesday evening, a pall of gloom descended on his residence (in picture) at Pohkseh, in the city.
Nongkynrih passed away in Mumbai following a surgery.

Many relatives and friends visited his residence and conveyed condolences.
As his death was shocking, neither the relatives nor the associates of the Choir spoke to media persons who were waiting at his residence for hours.
Though the entire Choir team is in Mumbai, others who are part of the Choir in Shillong did not want to say anything while the family is mourning his death.
