Shillong, May 5: PDF will sign a merger document with the NPP on May 6 at 4 pm at the latter’s office.
The merger document will contain the demands of the party.
The decision for merger was taken after a meeting of the PDF general council held on Friday.
Party president Gavin Mylliem announced the decision.
He, however, refused to divulge the demands of the party by saying that the merger document will be released after signing it on Saturday.
The merger document will contain points from the manifesto of the party prepared ahead of the just concluded Assembly polls.
Mylliem said it is upto the Chief Minister to decide on whether the merged MLAs should be accommodated in the cabinet or not.
He also downplayed the resignation of vice president of the party, James Ban Basaiawmoit by saying that he resigned on personal ground as per his letter.
