Plea to improve AYUSH services in state
Shillong, July 15: The bonded candidates of AYUSH (homeopathy) have taken up issues concerning them with the Tura MP
Saleng A Sangma.
One of the demands was creation of permanent posts: The last recruitment for AYUSH (homeopathy) medical
practitioners was conducted in April 2015 under MPSC Memo No: MPSC/ADVT-38/1/2014- 15/30. Since then, no new recruitment has been initiated by the state government. Despite multiple submissions of memorandums to the relevant authorities and the minister In-charge, there has been no response.
On July 31, 2020, it was reported
that the Centre had approved Meghalaya’s proposal for setting up an AYUSH Directorate. However, there has been no appointment of a full-fledged Director in Meghalaya till date. This delay is significantly affecting the administration and progress of AYUSH services in the state”, they said.
