Shillong, April 20: Police have taken initiatives to prevent regrouping of former militants in Khasi-Garo Hills border.
DIG(Eastern Range) Davis Marak said police recently noticed movement of some armed groups in the border districts of Khasi Hills and Garo Hills.

After launching operations, two persons were arrested recently and one of them was a former GNLA cadre who secured bail.
Police have not ruled out the possibility of some groups using weapons which were hidden by former militant groups.
