Shillong, July 30: Police personnel, Meghalaya secretariat staff, doctors and other professionals were the victims of the AI-powered money earning scam.
The scam was reported a few days ago by news portals.

An official source said that the couple-Aron T Sangma and Bernadeth Sangma from Laban, who were arrested in connection with the case, secured bail.
The official said many people, including professionals lost money after they were addicted to the offer of getting more money after initial investment.
On Tuesday, an affected person sent a mail to all the media houses informing that thousands of people were cheated.
“I got some hits of a big cheating by an online app called DAAI (later changed to TAAI) which duped 1000’s of people in Meghalaya … investors include all walks of life .. investing Rs.6000 to 6-10 lakh per investor. The App was running initially by few influencer headed by One Arun Tamang alias Aarun T Sangma in Shillong his family and friends (group of 10-2 initiators). The app stopped working after 2-3 days of rush investment — that was encouraged by some fantasy offer .. till about 15 days the app was closed, few people .. I heard , got money deposited to their bank account.But after 2 days .. of the fantasy offer, the whole app closed down
Later they changed the name of the WhatsAPP groups to changed it to TAAI .., TA AI and the reintroduced the app a TAAI…
