Shillong, Oct 25: During the Puja celebrations, the East Khasi Hills district police seized 102,910 millilitres of IMFL and 260 ltrs of illicit liquor and 15,100 millilitres of beer.
An official statement issued on Wednesday said that the police conducted several vice raids and vigorous patrolling for the safety of the public and also to prevent untoward incidents in the city during the puja celebration 2023.

“Vice raids were conducted in Paltan Bazar, Jeep Stand, Mawblei area, Khlieh lew, Meat Market, Mawlonghat, Urkaliar, Laitumkhrah Market, Mawbah, Jhalupara, Polo Market and seized 102,910 ml of IMFL, 260 ltrs of illicit liquor and 15,100 ml of beer”, the police said.
