
Shillong, Feb 27: Polling for 59 seats out of 60 began in Meghalaya as enthusiastic voters thronged the polling booths early morning on Monday.
Till 9 am, the voting percentage is 10.5.

West Garo Hills had 15 pc turnout.
Polling in the remaining Sohiong seat was deferred due to the death of UDP candidate HDR Lyngdoh.
Conducive weather condition with sunlight is an added advantage for the voters to come out of their homes.
Priyanka Bhattacharjee (in picture left), a first time voter at Rilbong LP School, said she is happy to vote for the first time though she got the EPIC in 2019.
