“Over the past several months, the residents of Selsella and nearby villages have been facing extreme difficulties due to the unstable and weak Jio rmbile network. Call drops, slow internet speeds, and complete network outages have become a daily concern. This has not only affected daily communication among people but has also created serious obstacles for students, office-goers, entrepreneurs, farmers, and service users who rely on mobile internet for education, business, banking, health consultations, and other essential digital services”, the organisation said.

“As you are aware, Reliance Jio has transformed the digital landscape of India with affordable data and widespread coverage. Its contribution to empowering rural India, promoting digital literacy, enhancing e-governance, and providing opportunities for startups, small businesses, and online education is undeniable. In this era of Digital India and rapid technological transformation, uninterrupted and high-speed mobile internet is no longer a luxury but a necessity. In this regard, we earnestly request you to kindly look into the poor Jio network issue in Selsella and take the necessary steps to resolve it. Moreover, we also appeal to you to consider installing and activating 5G network services in the Selsella area.

It said the introduction of 5G will significantly benefit the local population by faster access to online education for students and competitive exam aspirants; farmers with real-time market updates and agri-tech solutions; improving communication for government services and administrative connectivity; encouraging local businesses to expand digitally and facilitating better healthcare access through telemedicine and health monitoring apps besides bridging the rural-urban digital divide

‘The people of Selsella, especially the youth, are eager to participate in this digital revolution and deserve access to better and faster network services. We strongly believe that with the intervention of your esteemed office, this long-standing issue can be resolved for the betterment of our area”, the Alliance said.
