Shillong, May 11:The animal husbandry and veterinery department has clarified that shortage of supply of poultry in Garo Hills is due to bird flu in West Bengal and Jharkhand.
The department said due to bird flu, Assam has stopped entry of poultry through western border from West Bengal which has led to shortage of poultry in Garo Hills.
