Shillong, Dec 12: The United Democratic Party (UDP) and Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) will work together under the umbrella of the Regional Democratic Alliance (RDA) for the upcoming Lok Sabha and council elections.
The RDA will announce the candidate for the Shillong parliamentary seat, shortly.

After chairing the RPA meeting on Tuesday, RDA chairman and UDP president Metbah Lyngdoh said they have started the discussion regarding the Lok Sabha and the council elections.
“We have decided that we will be fighting the upcoming MP election and MDC election together as RDA,” he said.
Metbah said he the RDA will again meet shortly to decide on the joint candidate for the Shillong parliamentary constituency.
